HydroTerra was thrilled to be awarded a grant by the Australia China Council, a body of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, for the development of an innovative collaboration between Australian and Chinese industry and academia. Specifically, the collaboration seeks to develop a Centre for the development of training and research initiatives in the use of modern monitoring technology for food safety and training. Establishment partners were HydroTerra, Melbourne Polytechnic (Victoria, Australia) and Changzhou University, however expanded throughout the course of the activities to include academics from Guizhou Institute of Technology and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, as well as representatives from a range of private industry partners. Importantly, the focus of the proposed Centre is to provide a mechanism for an ongoing and sustainable collaboration which sees both countries working together to provide global leadership in this critical area.
Stay tuned for further posts describing the developments as part of this program.
